Moment of soberness

I’m feeling as sober as the evening in Helsinki last summer after smoking weed for the first time.

That was a pleasant experience. Pot gets you to like things that you don’t usually like. You look at all the negative aspects of your life and suddenly see the fun part within them as if they were a joke. I think that’s the Comedian’s point of view in the comic. He’s someone you should look up to. After all, he is a lonely soldier that no one understands. The admirable thing is he doesn’t care.

I haven’t touched weed again. The opportunity never occurred again. Besides, the aftereffect isn’t necessarily pleasant. I was referring to indefinite soberness earlier. That’s the aftereffect of weed.

You begin to wonder why you can suddenly handle 100 thoughts at once. Your mind is caught in the melancholy webs, and your eyes will stare at the first object they see. If it’s a stone, you’ll freeze. If it’s a withered flower, you’ll see a dead Ophelia. What do you see when the high fades?

I can’t forgive people who drink to shut their eyes to these images. They should be blind and get sleep paralysis. There is no moment that is more worthy than the moment of soberness. You can face the demon right here and now.

A clear mind is what a Buddhist aims for. And I feel like a Buddhist right now, but without the need to meditate. Sometimes soberness itself can give you a mini-epiphany.
